Hello there, Cell Investigators!
This week you have Wellness on Wednesday (Vergel HB and Hamaguchi HB), and Thursday (Beck HB and Benford HB).
1. You will continue to learn about Cells Cells and Cell Structures by watching Brain-Pop videos answering questions about them and checking your answers.
2. Then you will write a digital learning journal (#2) about what you just learned about Cells and Cell Structures.
3. You will watch a Bill Nye video about Cells and complete a Socrative quiz to check for your understanding of the concept.
4. You will also share what you learned with the rest of the class.
If you did not finish answering the questions and checking your answers for both videos at the end of the second lesson, you will have to stay for Tutorials.

Hello Science Guys,
January is almost over and we have a new task in the works.
We have completed the Energy Mini-Unit to introduce the other forms of energy that we will study. And now… we try to discover how magnets work. Yes, you know how they work, they attract, they repel. But do you REALLY know why they do that? This is our chance to find out.
This week, we will finish our Brain Pop on Magnetism and see what Bill Nye has to say about it.
Then, we will start on our own Discovery task. Students are working in assigned pairs. The task is to be recorded jointly in one Google Doc, using different colors for each person. When the investigations have been completed, each pair will share their findings to the class. Sharing will be sometime in February, so there is a lot of time to investigate.
More to come. Students, let’s go back to checking our Google Calendars so you know what’s coming up.

This is another exciting week in Science. We all love magnets. We all love playing with magnets. Well, this week, we are going to do a little Inquiry about Magnets. You will be officially allowed to play with magnets with the goal of discovering things about magnets and sharing your discoveries with the class. You will then find out more about magnets with Tim and Moby, with Mr. Compass Man himself, Bill Nye!
Next week you will be investigating your own Magnetism question in a performance task.
Have an interesting, Magnetic week!!!
